Old Pastorie Guest House

On 24 July 1816 Rev.Herold moved into the parsonage. This means that this building is one of the oldest existing buildings in George. In 1863 the one storey building was renovated and enlarged to a double storey home. During the years the parsonage has been modernised. The church building, the parsonage, the “Langgebou” (which served as a church building from 1821 to 1842 and then as outbuildings to the parsonage) and the Mission parsonage had been declared heritage sites. The parsonage was restored recently to serve as the Old Pastorie Guest House.

7 spacious rooms with twin and single beds tastefully decorated in neutral tones. 3 en-suite twin bedrooms and 2 single rooms sharing a bathroom on the ground floor. A family room and twin room upstairs with a big bathroom.

Old pastorie Guest House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in George and a full English Breakfast will be served daily. Light lunches can be served on prior arrangement.

We also offer special rates for persons receiving medical care but is not hospitalised as well as persons who have a husband, wife or child in the hospital.

Special rates can be negotiated for extended stays.
